CAR INSURANCE CLAIM VOID... PLEASE READ STORY. BEWARE!!!

Be careful, if u hv the habit of sending yr car for car wash or similar matter (car jockey etc) while in shopping complex...

Two weeks ago my nephew sent his Toyota Harrier for car wash in the car park of Bangsar Shopping Complex while he had an appointment there. He handed the car keys to the car wash people n left the car park for his appointment.

After the appointment he went to collect his car, & the car wash people told him that his car had been collected. How CAN??? After a prolonged argument without any results, he had no choice, but to make a police report... n follow up by insurance claim...

Insurance company rejected his claim 'cos the reason is the car was not stolen, the point of contention was why did he hand over the car keys to someone unknown, n why did he not wait there till the car washing was finished...? ??

So, be careful next time. If u really need to send yr car for car wash, better stay there and wait for yr car, if not, this may happen to you...

BE AWARE..PERFUME SALEMAN!

I was approached yesterday afternoon around 3.30 pm in the Car parking lot by two males, asking what kind of perfume I was wearing. Then they asked if I'd like to sample some fabulous Scent they were willing to sell me at a very reasonable rate.I probably would have agreed had I not received an email some weeks ago, warning of this scam.

The men continued to stand between parked cars, I guess to wait for someone else to hit on. I stopped a lady going towards them, I pointed at them and told her about how I was sent an email at Work about someone walking up to you at the malls, in parking lots, asking you to sniff perfume that they are selling at a cheap price.

THIS IS NOT PERFUME - IT IS ETHER!

When you sniff it, you'll pass out and they'll take your wallet, your valuables, and heaven knows what else. If it were not for this email, I probably would have sniffed the 'perfume', but thanks to the generosity of an emailing friend, I was spared whatever might have happened to me, and wanted to do the same for you.

This is a true story, it has been confirmed, and the Medical Centre phone number at the end of this story is real. This guy went out on a Saturday night a few weeks ago to a party. He was having a good time and had a couple of beers and some girl seemed to like him & invited him to go to another party.
He quickly agreed & decided to go along with her. She took him to a party in some apartment and had sex. They continued to drink & even got involved with some drug (unknown). The next thing he knew, he woke up completely naked in a bathtub filled with ice.
He looked down at his chest, which had 'CALL 999 or YOU'LL DIE' written on it with lipstick. He saw a phone was on a stand next to the tub so he picked it up & dialled. He explained to the operator what the situation was & that he didn't know where he was, what he took, or why he was really calling. She advised him to get out of the tub. He did, and he appeared normal, so she told him to check his back. He did, and found two 9 inch slits on his lower back.
She told him to get back into the tub immediately, and they sent a rescue team over. Apparently, after being examined, he found out more - His kidneys were stolen. They were worth RM30,000 each on the black market. He is currently in the hospital on a life support, awaiting a spare kidney.
I wish to warn you about a new crime ring that is targeting business travellers. This ring is well organized and well funded, has very skilled personnel & is currently operating in most major cities around the world and recently very active in ASIA .
The crime begins when a business traveller goes to a lounge for a drink at the end of the work day. A person in the bar walks up as they sit alone and offers to buy them a drink. The last thing the traveller remembers until they wake up in a hotel room bathtub, their body submerged to their neck in ice. There is a note taped to the wall instructing them not to move and to call 999. A phone is on the small table next to the bathtub for them to call.
The business traveller is instructed by the operator to very slowly and carefully reach behind them and feel there is a tube protruding from the back. The business traveller finds the tube and answers 'YES'. The operator tells them to remain still, having already sent paramedics to help. The Operator knows that both of the traveller's kidneys had been harvested. This is not a scam or out of science fiction novel. It is real. It is documented and confirmable.
If you travel or someone close to you travels, please be careful. Sadly, this is very true.

ATM USER TO BE CAUTIOUS

I would like to share a real life story with all my friends andespecially all my colleagues and all Maybank account holders.

This incident happened on today evening. I went to thePJ State (Also known as PJ New Town) Maybank to withdraw RM500.Unfortunately for me, only 9 RM50 notes came out instead of 10.

What happened was, one of the RM50 notes was folded exactly in half andplaced at a corner of the stack (Please refer to the attached pictures above showing how two RM50 notes can be counted as three).

I was so upset because I have no proof that the ATM did not give me the correct amount. After much hesitation, I finally decided to callMaybank to complain about the incident knowing that I may not get back mymoney. But at least I can caution them of such incident.

When I told of my situation to the Maybank Customer ServiceRepresentative, to my surprise, I was informed that I'm not the firstvictim. It seems that similar cases have occurred before. The ladyexplained that it is the malfunction of the ATM and the money mayaccidentally get folded in half.

However when questioned, she was unable to explain to me why the moneycan be folded exactly in half and placed nicely in the corner of thestack.

I believe this is the new technique of cheating money, done by thepeople who are responsible of placing the money into the ATMs. In thestack of money which is to be placed into the ATM, one RM50 note is foldednicely in half, for every one note taken out of the stack of money.

The folded RM50 notes are then placed at the edge of the stack andpositioned in the ATM where the money would be counted. With that done,every one folded note would be counted by the machine as two notes.

I may be wrong about how and why it happened, but I would like to warneveryone about this incident. Please be careful when withdrawing moneyfrom the ATM (it may happen to other banks as well) and do count yourmoney to be sure. If such an incident really happened to you (*touchwood*), please do call up the bank to complain about this.

If everyone keeps quiet about this, the bank may be unaware of suchincidents and the people responsible may just continue doing what theydo without getting caught! Even if it is actually because of the ATMmalfunctioning, the bank should know about this and there is also achance of you getting your money back.

NEW TECHNIQUE TO SNATCH YOUR HANDBAG. BE AWARE!!

It happened to my neighbour’s friend a week ago so please beware – Hope you all know it is a serious matter and not one of those jokes!!!

“She and her husband, after dinner, walking towards their car along the road, a guy came on the motorbike from the opposite direction and suddenly poke something sharp into her arm and she had to let down her hand in pain. Her handbag which was slung across came falling down and the guy just pick up the bag and went off , so easy!! She lost everything in her handbag such as IC, driving license, credit card, member card, insurance medical card, bankcard and cash, etc. It was horrible. She is still in a state of shock and her hand is now blue black all over.”

So the latest technique is they will poke something sharp into your hand and in doing so, you will have to let your hand drop in pain and your handbag will come falling down! Just inform all friends about this incident and be aware anyway…..

IF SOMEONE FORCE YOU TAKE YOUR MONEY FROM ATM, WHAT SHOULD DO

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would key in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed
in the machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broadcast on TV and it states that it's seldom used because people don't know it exists..

Please pass this information to as many people as possible

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE YOUR ATM CARD

Have you aware that, ATMs around us had key logging keypads over the originals and card scammers in the slot for putting the cards in.....

What can you do to avoid such as scams/ fraud?
Be extra careful!! A few tips for it......
1.Always use the same ATM as far as possible!

2.You are more likely to spot any tampering if you are using a familiar ATM machine!

3.Be vigilant and observant to notice anything different about your ATM!

4.Most ATM keyboards are set within the body and are not protruding above the base! Check to be sure.

5.The card slots are also set within the body of the ATM machine and not protruding above it! Check this also.

6.Look out for miniature cameras stuck to the ATM top that can photograph your PIN code entry!

7.Shield your hand with a paper sheet or envelope and enter the PIN code under this cover!

This fraud can and may be taking place anywhere in the world !!

BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. (TO WHO VISIT OR STAY IN MALAYSIA)

Hi, this is the true story sharing by my friend in Malaysia. I know you have a big circle of lady friends so please let them know of this experience over the weekend. I never thought this would happen to her as she is a very careful person but it did.

In the weekend, Doris’s family having dinner in a restaurant at Chulia Street. There was a pillar on her immediate left and her son was seated on my right. Her husband, son and maid were seated round the other side of the rectangular table. Her handbag was on my lap so it should be very safe right? Wrong!!Suddenly a guy in a full helmet rushed in, grabbed her bag and ran out very fast to his accomplice's bike.

Her family stunned for a few seconds and by the time they realized it. They'd sped off. Restaurant workers rushed out but it was too late. They were so traumatized by this incident that for a few moments and didn't know what to do, and people around advised to make a police report.

She lost her personal items, sentimental items, money, credit cards, bank cards and worst of all her house keys, IC and driving license in the bag ,he would know where they live. This is dangerous!!

When made a report at Police Station. Whilst there is another couple who had her bag snatched in the very same way, and her description of the perpetrator was similar, small sized, thin man of unknown race. He wasn't dark but we couldn't tell if he was Indo, Malay or Chinese. The young lady lost hers at a coffee shop. It believes they were the same pair who robbed.

So ladies out there, Please be careful when you are in a coffee shop or Restaurant. You are no longer safe anywhere. I believe he had come in to look for an easy target before he struck. I am glad that no one was hurt, imagine if the strap was hooked to your arm, I'd been dragged down and gotten hurt.

"The following is information from a farmer who grows and packages carrots for IGA, METRO, LOBLAWS, etc.

The small cocktail (baby) carrots you buy in small plastic bags are made using the larger carrots which are put through a machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots .

What you may not know and should know is the following: once the carrots are cut and shaped into cocktail carrots they are dipped in a solution of water and chlorine in order to preserve them (this is the same chlorine used your pool) and since they do not have their skin or natural protective covering, they give them a higher dose of chlorine.

You will notice that once you keep these carrots in your refrigerator for a few days, a white covering will form on the carrots; this is the chlorine which resurfaces. At what cost do we put our health at risk to have esthetically pleasing and simple to serve vegetables which are unhealthy?

We do hope that this information can be passed on to as many people as possible in the hopes of informing them where these carrots come from and how they are processed. Chlorine is a very well known carcinogen."

Beware of using credit card to refill the petrol.

Just got to know about this case through a friend that this thing actually happened to one of his co-workers. She used her credit/debit card to purchase gas at the pump (like most of us do).

She received her receipt like normal. However, when she checked her statement, there were 2 $50 charges added in addition to her purchase. Upon investigation, she found out that because she did not press the 'CLEAR' but ton on the pump, the employee inside the store was able to use her card to purchase his/her own gas!

To keep this from happening, after you get your receipt, you must press the 'CLEAR' button or your information will be stored until the next customer inserts their card.

Be sure to tell all your friends/family so that this doesn't happen to them!

BEWARE WHEN U DRINK CAN"S DRINKS

This is Serious!

This incident happened recently in North Texas .

A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of "Drinks" which she put into the refrigerator of the boat.

On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died on Wednesday. The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass.

Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis. Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of soda cans before drinking out of them.

The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned.

A study at NYCU showed that the tops of soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets (i.e).. full of germs and bacteria. So wash them with water before putting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.
